Cynthia Drexler has more than 20 years experience teaching both violin and viola from beginner through advanced levels and piano through the intermediate level. She holds a Masters Degree in Music Performance at Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California in violin performance. She received fellowships with the Fountainbleau School of Fine Arts, in France, the Banff School of Fine Arts in Canada, Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara and more recently with the Nebraska Chamber Institute and Orvieto Musica in Italy. Cynthia was a been a member of the Fort Collins Symphony from 2011-2018 (retired) and, as a native of San Diego, was once a member of San Diego Chamber Orchestra, the L'Orchesta de Baja California, based in Tijuana, Mexico, and was a performer with the San Diego Symphony. For several years she was an also adjunct professor at San Diego Christian College where she taught both violin and viola, as well as strings techniques classes. In 1997, she founded the Camelot Strings, a group of outstanding chamber musicians, playing professionally in many weddings, corporate events and educational outreach functions in San Diego. As a member of the Colorado Music Teacher's Association, she currently maintains a busy schedule teaching violin, viola, and piano in her own private studio, and as a referred teacher over at Boomers Music.
