Jazz pianist/composer/educator Mark Sloniker has toured throughout the United States and abroad. His recordings have received extensive radio and TV airplay in the United States, as well as in Japan, Australia, Spain, Germany, Canada, and beyond. He has 6 CD recordings to his credit, as well as appearing on countless other musicians' recordings. He has been an accompanist for the legendary late Steve Allen, as well as LA Philharmonic principal flutist James Walker, and opened for such acts as Bob James, Spyro Gyra, Pat Metheny, Billy Taylor, and Carmen McRae. He served as a church music director for 20 years and has made music in Zen monasteries, Hindu ashrams, Jewish temples, and Christian churches. Mark has a degree in music therapy and enjoys teaching students of all ages. He recently joined the faculty as an adjunct professor at Colorado State University in the Jazz Studies program.
