Dr. Mintcheva combines a busy performance schedule with a successful teaching and academic career. She was the national winner of the prestigious 2011 StAR Studio Teacher Fellowship Award, which is granted by the Music Teachers National Association in recognition of excellence in teaching. Dr. Mintcheva has presented research at various conferences in the U.S. Most recently, she presented a paper on Beethoven's Piano Sonata, Op. 110, and a lecture-recital on Domenico Scarlatti's keyboard sonatas at the 51st College Music Society National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Mintcheva has taught piano, Music History, and Music Appreciation classes at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State University, and Front Range Community College. In addition, she served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Piano at Florida Southern College.
