Student Achievement Day
March 7
Student Achievement Day (StAD) is a non-competitive student event run by CSMTA local associations in Colorado, following guidelines created at the state level. Each student performs privately for a listener who evaluates the level of certificate to be earned as well as constructive feedback. Teachers, parents, and students can find the link for FCMTA Frequently Asked Questions here. Additionally, more intricate guidelines for certificate levels and music-related options, including written and aural tests, are found in the CSMTA Student Achievement Day Comprehensive Guidelines. These guidelines also explain how students may receive the status of “Super Achiever” by completing additional requirements. Students/Parents, ask your teacher for more information. Teachers, if you have not registered students for StAD before or have additional questions, contact the event chair or another board member.
Additional unique programs for FCMTA StAD will be announced closer to the event date, but may include: master classes, project/art displays, games, T-shirt design, recitals, scavenger hunts, music technology labs, and more!
Cost for event registration is $20 per student with additional merchandise available for purchase through registration.
