Sandra G. Meyer
Sandra Meyer, NCTM, has the B.M. degree in piano performance from the Conservatory, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and the M.A. in theory and M.F.A.in piano performance from the University of Iowa. She is Professor Emerita of Music at Oklahoma Baptist University and also taught at Dakota State University and Ithaca College. She has served as organist/pianist in various denominations - Disciples of Christ, Presbyterian, Methodist, and most recently Episcopal. She has had chaplaincy training and is certified in spiritual formation. While in Oklahoma she was very active in Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, having served as VP for Local Associations and Collegiate Chapters, VP for Auditions and Competitions, President-elect and Conference Chair, and State President. She was named Distinguished Teacher for OMTA in 2016 and is an MTNA Foundation Fellow. In Oklahoma she was a frequent speaker and adjudicator. In Fort Collins she leads the Okay Chorale, at the First United Methodist Church, an informal singing group for people with memory loss and their caregivers or anyone who enjoys singing older songs before the 1970s. She has lived in Fort Collins since September 2018.
